There are a lot of cryptocurrency-related websites out there, but how many of them have the imprimatur of a major financial player? Fidelity Investments, one of the oldest and largest financial services firms in the world, has just launched a separate website called Fidelity Digital Asset Services, and it offers a new product called Sherlock. This system is designed to give institutional investors a way to analyze cryptocurrency markets.
Fidelity Investments, one of the largest asset managers in the world, has launched a new cryptocurrency analytics platform that it claims will make it easier for institutional investors to enter the cryptocurrency market. Called Sherlock, the platform is designed to give the investment firm an edge over its competitors, with a focus on the crypto industry’s growing interest in blockchain technology. Sherlock will be available to customers of Fidelity’s institutional trading arm, Fidelity Digital Asset Services, which has been in operation since early 2018. The platform is designed to provide investors with the tools they need to better understand the market and to make informed decisions regarding crypto investments. “By building a foundational technology platform, we not only help our clients enter this market more quickly, but
Fidelity Investments, a US multinational financial services company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, has announced the launch of a new end-to-end solution for digital asset processing and in-depth analysis. The new product is called Sherlock and is designed for institutional clients to optimize fundamental and technical data related to cryptocurrencies.
The data and analytics space related to the world of cryptocurrencies is extremely popular right now, with companies like Skew, Glassnode, Messari, Dune Analytics, Cryptoquant, and others attracting attention. Over the weekend, Bitcoin.com News reported on the acquisition of Skew – the analytics company has joined the Coinbase family. Skew data is used for Coinbase Prime customers – institutional customers of the San Francisco Stock Exchange.
Sherlock is profitable, according to Fidelity Investments.
Fidelity Investments on Monday unveiled a crypto platform for its institutional clients called Sherlock. The new product provides comprehensive data and in-depth analysis on digital assets in a central location to support investment decisions, Fidelity said in a statement. The Sherlock web portal states that interested users can request a demo and states:
Cryptocurrencies are hard enough to navigate – data doesn’t have to be. Sherlock provides you with the data and tools you need to identify investment opportunities and create trading strategies.
Sherlock developed by FidelityApplied Technical Center
Fidelity says Sherlock users can get detailed asset analysis, discover new ideas and follow market trends to make the best decisions when it comes to investing in crypto assets.
Users can also explore the data outside the platform for simulations and backtesting, Fidelity said in a statement. Sherlock was also developed at FCAT (Fidelity Center for Applied Technology), a blockchain solution center and distributed ledger incubator focused on blockchain analysis, proof of concept and use cases.
Although the market is evolving rapidly, institutional investors have told us they still need a comprehensive and affordable data solution, says Kevin Vora, vice president of product management at FCAT. That’s exactly what we present at Sherlock – robust, insightful datasets combined with intuitive tools to help clients make data-driven investment decisions for digital assets, the executive added.
