The goal of every market speculator is to be able to think and act confidently. Not to be dependent on anyone. But to get there you need someone to show you some basic first steps. If you’re just starting out, you don’t need to have all of the AT publications in Trade view. In most cases, it’s best to just do it yourself. Be original. Bring your own ideas and creativity. Don’t be afraid to be wrong. Experiment with all of the drawing and analysis tools in the trading view. To summarize my key points during this 2 part series:
- If your ultimate goal is to be a market speculator, you must be a STUDENT of your fortune. Learn it. Imagine it’s your son. Know your temperament. Take a look at the entire price history of the chart.
- A … create Business cycle Report showing all bullish and bearish cycles, identifying periods of greed, fear, despair and accumulation. Record the length of these different cycles. With this knowledge, you can better understand the current cycle we are in and where things could be going.
- Always study the longest charts to start with. Daily weekly monthly. Anything that takes less than an hour takes a lot of skill.
- Find out more about the most common moving averages and what they can tell you.
- See key resistances and supports at the top of your chart based on historical prices.
- Meet your Fibonacci friend.
- Learn more about the different momentum indicators.
- Finally, always make sure that your technical framework is very clean and concise. It should never be messy. Just because a graph has a million Trend lines and indicators don’t mean it’s good. Most likely it’s rubbish.
Anyway, I hope you found some of the information helpful. Again, 99% of the field work needs to be done by you and that’s fine. If one day you really want to do this for a living, you will be disciplined to learn as much as possible.
